New Mexico Tech has published a feature article on the SL-15 suborbital experiment designed and built by NMT in collaboration with Immortal Data. The payload — developed under the FAA-sponsored Center of Excellence for Commercial Space Transportation initiative — gathered structural health monitoring data in flight, supporting both undergraduate design work and PhD research.

“This experiment paves the way for safer and more affordable space travel,” the university writes. Immortal Data CEO Dale Amon joined the NMT student team and FAA program manager Nickolas Demidovich at the launch.
